Maria Fernanda Hubeaut

NEW YORK, ARGENTINA, FRANCE.

María Fernanda Hubeaut was born in Santa Fe city, Argentina. She discovered her interests in documentary and artistic photography at the age of 15, and was fascinated by the infinite possibili-ties of communication and expression of photography. Later on, she started working in photogra-phy to add to her writings of the medium. María Fernanda received a M.A. from the National Uni-versity of Entre Ríos, Paraná city, Argentina, were she organized and directed workshops of photo-journalism for several years.

In her Master in Communication and Arts, María Fernanda focused on the use and education of the photographic image as a language. She did research on all the photographic genres for more than three years. Her work is strongly linked to reality, trying to capture emotions with delicate attention to lights and shadows. In 1998, María Fernanda decided to travel around the world, in particular Europe and Latin America to reinforce her documentary experience and to broaden her horizons and photographic interests. Two years later, María Fernanda decided to establish herself in New York City as a photographer and freelance writer and has been working for several publi-cations and Latino newspapers, for example, ” Hora Hispana”, Daily News, New York Times, “Nuestra Comunidad” Gannett New Jersey, “El Nuevo Día” Puerto Rico, and “Poder”, “Hispanic” Magazines among others.

Her photographic work has been exhibited in several art galleries and Museums of finest art like Museo Octavio de la Colina , La Rioja Argentina, Museum marítimo Usuhaia and Museum of Guadalajara, including Rutgers University, Soho Black and White Space, Café Galería Carlitos in Harlem, Times Square, and previously, in Paris France and in Argentinean galleries of Santa Fe, Paraná, Tierra del Fuego and Buenos Aires city.

Since 2011 she start to explore the art performance work creating a collaborative and individual projects in New York ( Fountain Art Fair, Performeando, Grace Space, Panoply lab, BOS, NoMAA, IMC Lab and Gallery, etc, ).
