Madeline Floodstrand

I was born and raised in Chicago, and loved every second of it. I grew up loving music and theatre, and have always had a passion for telling stories.

As a sophomore at the University of Madison-Wisconsin I am learning to refine my skills in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and hope to pursue a career in which I can thrive while also staying true to the things I love to do.

Personally, I think the people you are closest to know you the best, sometimes more than yourself. According to my friends, I am quirky and sarcastic. My mom thinks I’m loving and patient. My younger brother finds me annoying and condescending, (but that’s only because I try to look out for him more than he’d like.)

When I ask myself who I am, I look back at the things I have done, and the people I have both met and been forced to live with, and I’d like to think I have a pretty good idea of who Maddie Floodstrand is. But, let’s be honest, I am only 19 years old, and have a lot of “me” I still need to find. I have many more people and experiences that will mold me into what I will one day become.
