I am a very artistic person with a lot of ideas. I originally was majoring in graphic design but then changed my major to advertising. I want to be able to do a broad spectrum of things in my profession so I will be minoring in graphic design and sports studies. I am extremely passionate about working with kids and volunteering my time wherever I am needed. I babysat for a family with a 9 year old special needs little girl and her 6 year old little sister for two years. That was by far one of the best experiences of my life. During my time at The University of Southern Mississippi I volunteered my time at a nearby middle school as an assistant coach for the girls basketball team. After falling in love with that experience I searched for the same kind of opportunity in Baton Rouge since I am now a current student at Louisiana State University. After running into a road block with finding a school to assistant coach at, I decided that I would take on a head coach position and volunteer at the YMCA. Within two weeks of deciding that I received an opportunity to be the head coach for the 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball team at St. Luke's Episcopal Day School here in Baton Rouge. I have drive and determination. I was never, and will never, be the kind of person to be in a profession that I do not love. I love a lot of things and have a passion for a few. I plan to work in an environment where I can put that passion to work whether I end up teaching and coaching, putting my design and computer skills to the test behind the desk of a big corporation or simply by starting some kind of non-profit. I am willing to work my way up and learn in the process. I have plans for myself and my future and those plans involve my happiness and loving what I do.
