My name is Michael Gustafson and I am twenty-one years old. I was born and raised in the great state of Georgia. I have one sister, a cute little dog, and the best parents in the world. I have always loved playing sports, but my parents’ standards for my grades in school were high. They would let me take part in any activity I wanted as long as I made all A's. I played basketball and baseball in high school, and I now play intramural and club sports at the University of Georgia. English has never been my strongest class, but I have always, somewhat secretly, enjoyed writing my own poems because it is a great way to relieve stress and decipher my thoughts. The more I learn, the more comfortable it gets to explore my own mind, making the future much more interesting. I excited I am for my junior year and what I can make of myself beyond it. I am applying to the Terry College of Business this semester and plan to study business management or sales. Both of my parents are in sales and have been very successful, which has been a major factor in my interest in that field. What I once called the future is now very near. Before I know it, I will be living in the "real world" and will start bringing my plans to fruition. This both terrifies and excites me, but I feel like I will be ready.
