I am a commercially focussed IT Director with a breadth of experience developing and implementing successful strategies for managing highly available and efficient IT services. I am currently looking for a new opportunity to build on an already rewarding career leading motivated technical teams.

My IT career started at Microsoft, where I learned valuable engineering and project management skills by supporting Microsoft.com and managing Internet infrastructure. I then moved to London to manage the launch of a small-business portal service across the EMEA region. Following that, I moved into the MSN Europe Service Operations team where I was rapidly promoted to Engineering Manager and led a team of bright and ambitious engineers whilst managing the relationship between the development, test, and operations teams. At Microsoft, I gained valuable experience in improving service quality through effective deployment of industry best practice processes and capable leadership.

In early 2007 I moved to the Newspaper Licensing Agency (NLA) where I was responsible for the entire IT infrastructure, services, and IT strategy across the business. At the NLA, I gained experience in outsourced service management, commercial and contract negotiation, financial management and continual service improvement strategies. I led initiatives in virtualisation, cloud hosting, and an evolution to a service oriented architecture.

Over 18 months ago I joined a rapidly expanding enterprise SaaS provider; ServiceNow. This position has provided me with great experience as we’ve taken the company through a period of immense growth. I am the European senior leader responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure teams including Systems & Network Engineering, Data Centre Operations and Security. I am also heavily involved in the EMEA leadership team helping to drive further growth and expansion by working closely with the ServiceNow Sales and Consulting organisations. In addition, I manage multiple customer specific projects aimed at improving customer satisfaction and preventing service disruption.

When I'm not working hard I spend time with my wife chasing our three children around, photographing the world and riding my bike.
