Michael H. Harper

Michael H. Harper is an award-winning film producer and director, the owner of Mad Mouth Media, and the co-owner and Chief Creative Officer of Cogitate Productions. Prior to producing and directing the new documentary 3-Minute Activists: The Soul of Slam, his credits include producing the horror feature Attack of the Morningside Monster, writing and directing the short film Take Me Out, and working on a half-dozen short films and features as an assistant director.

Also a sought-after independent screenwriter and script consultant, Michael has written or consulted on more than two dozen screenplays, covering the short film, feature film, hour and half-hour television formats, and crossing the horror, action, thriller, and science fiction genres. He is currently co-writing a horror feature based on a historic Canadian legend, and is in script development on a science fiction/time travel thriller.

In 2016 Michael will also return to his roots as a comic book creator, releasing an as-yet-untitled supernatural/science fiction comic with artist Rob Bragdon.

Michael lives outside Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Julia, and their dogs, Frank N. Stein and Queen Sasha.
