I'm Mo Elwakil, a creative technologist and immersive media artist based in Plymouth. I work at the crossroads of art, technology and community, finding ways to make experiences that stick with people long after they've left the room.

Through Mo360 I create 360° virtual tours, photography and videography for businesses, heritage spaces and community projects across Plymouth and the South West. I'm a Google Local Guide Level 5 and genuinely love capturing the world from every angle.

I hold an MRes in Immersive Media from the University of Plymouth and a BA in Art Education from Helwan University. Along the way I've studied creative coding at VVVV Academy Berlin, digital media at Goldsmiths London and art management at Lüneburg University in Germany.

My current big project is TAWAF, an AI-generative therapeutic immersive experience rooted in Islamic sacred geometry, built specifically for neurodiverse individuals. It's the work I'm most proud of and the one that brings everything together for me.

Alongside my creative practice I work as a healthcare assistant and support worker, and as a freelance facilitator and workshop leader across arts, culture and education in Plymouth and the South West.

I served as Art Invigilator for British Art Show 9 at The Box Plymouth and have presented and spoken at Ars Electronica, The Node Forum Germany, Cairotronica Festival and Maker Faire Cairo.

I also founded Cairo Media Lab and Creative Coding Cairo, and I'm currently building toward a creative coding and immersive media hub right here in Plymouth.
