Mia Aquino is a social media and digital strategist based in New York, NY. She has worked with leading news, media, and entertainment brands, crafting social media strategy and building community engagement. Mia is the Director of Audience Growth and Social Media at M2M, a new OTT video network focusing on fashion.
Previously, Mia was the Director of Social Media at VH1, which has a social media footprint of over 35 million followers. At VH1, Mia oversaw social media for the brands (VH1, VH1 Classic, Palladia), tentpole events, and television shows. While at VH1, Mia launched the social media presence of the new Thursday night lineup-- including shows such as "Dating Naked" and "Candidly Nicole."
Before joining VH1, Mia was the Senior Strategist, Social Communities at Fusion-- an ABC-Univision joint venture that launched in October 2013. Mia was one of the original team members that launched Fusion, building the social media voice of the network. Before joining Fusion, Mia held roles at The Huffington Post, including Social Marketing Manager and Social Media Editor. She has also worked for CNN in Atlanta, GA and KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh, PA.
Mia received a B.A. in Journalism from Penn State University. She is originally from a suburb outside of Pittsburgh.
