Mia Annisa

Programme Manager and Virtual Assistant

Mia, the face behind Virtual Cubicle, is a seasoned programme manager with over a decade of working experience in the non-profit sector. Her previous post as the Senior Programme Manager at the British Council allowed her to manage several flagship programmes that link Indonesian schools and youth with the UK to exchange learning and cultural experiences. She also managed the official London 2012 Olympics flagship programme, International Inspiration, in Indonesia, where she had the opportunity to work alongside UNICEF. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she worked with Save the Children providing oversight for their education portfolio in Indonesia. Throughout her work, she had been able to work in partnerships with senior government officials, schools and youth. Her works encompassed co-facilitation of training for teachers, conference planning, online events to proposal writing.

Her most rewarding work is always the ones that help others grow while also giving space for herself to grow alongside them. She is always looking for new ways to use her skills to make a difference and recently has turned her focus to virtual assistance. Mia sees virtual assistance as an avenue that offers more flexibility and control over her time and work, while also providing space to contribute to advance small and medium enterprises. Thus, she wants to be able to use her skills to help business owners and individuals achieve their business goals.

In her spare time, she enjoys learning new things. She is particularly interested in education, street photography, coffee, and street art. She is also an aspiring tea blender who is always on the lookout for new tea leaves to try.
