Mia Binns
I'm Mia Binns, an Australian, living in my hometown of Perth, Western Australia, right beside the Indian Ocean. I'm a veteran blogger, starting my first blog at onehourcraft.com in 2006. Our blog quickly developed a reputation for producing high-quality content and I was offered two book publishing deals from it. Late 2009, my first book, One Hour Craft was published by A & C Black, London. During the six years that I ran onehourcraft.com, I also wrote articles for women's publications such as Venuszine and Bust. In 2010, two of my crafting tutorials were published in Bust, Since being actively involved in on-line marketing for many years, I have helped to mentor women all over the world about social media and marketing their small businesses on the web. My current business venture is www.sweetjuicyballoons.com. We sell huge 3", beautifully styled, latex balloons for functions, corporate events and individuals. Our business philosophy is to 'Make People Smile' with our delightful balloons. For the last ten years I have also worked as an educator. I have taught English as a Second Language, primarily to primary school aged refugee and migrant children, but also at a university level. In my increasingly dwindling personal time, I write for my current blog, www.miabinns.com which is committed to my number one passion, food. This blog features anecdotal stories of my life, living near the Indian Ocean in Western Australia. Also included are recipes and unique food and nature photography.
