Faizan a Chartered Certified Accountant is a graduate from Oxford Brookes University (UK).He is also registered with ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Whales). Faizan started his career by working with Ernst & Young and KPMG in audit and risk advisory department. During his experience in the Big4 audit firms he closely worked with World Bank, various government departments and also conducted audits of several manufacturing companies.
Faizan besides being an entrepreneur also serves the govt. by activelypursuing his role in promoting entrepreneurship in the country. He manages Plan9 (Pakistan’s largest Tech Incubator) and focuses on govt. policiesregarding startups. He is also involvedin academia and delivers a course on entrepreneurship at Information TechnologyUniversity. He is also working with US state department and City of Austin andmanages an exchange program “ATX+PAK Launch” for Pakistani entrepreneurs.Currently he is working very closely Dr. Umar Saif and Nabeel A. Qadeer alongwith various govt. department and is formulating the foundation for a govt.backed venture capital fund.
He recently represented Pakistan on South by Southwest (SXSW) in March 2017 in Austin and spoke on the startup culture of Pakistan. He was 1 of 4 speakers shortlisted by SXSW from Pakistan.
The Mayor of Austin Mr. Steve Adler also recognized his services for City of Austin and Lahore by issuing him a Certificate of Recognition.
