Mia Quagliarello
Community, Curation, and Creators in San Francisco
That’s pronounced Qua-lia-rello and it means “little quail” in Italian. (There’ll be a spelling test later. 😉)
I value human taste in a tech-driven world. To me, curation is an act of love with an outsized impact on our relationships and well-being.
My career has thrived at the intersection of content, community, and culture. I've held leadership roles at YouTube, Flipboard, Burning Man, Apple, and MTV Networks, helping these organizations scale with grace while championing human-centered editorial, community-first thinking, and a die-hard commitment to quality.
When I’m not interviewing “the secret agents of taste” for my newsletter and podcast, I’m advocating for the fediverse, a blueprint for a better internet. I produce the Dot Social podcast for Flipboard's CEO, giving me a front-row seat to how open-source standards are making the web great again.
I love exploring how content and community catalyze self-discovery and a deeper sense of belonging. Whether it’s finding a song or book that changes your life or connecting with others who share your passions, I believe that conscious culture drives our growth as individuals and as a collective whole.
After all, we’re not strangers if we like the same band, right?
