Hello… I am Mia Skagen.

By trade I’m a Sales and Marketing Professional who has managed a territory from the Midwest to the Middle East, successfully negotiated and closed contracts with Fortune 500 & 100 companies, and increased sales by over 300%. I also freelance for Search Engine Marketing and Social Media Management. By the grace of God and a little luck I have found a client or two.

My fulltime job is with CGI, Inc., as a Sales Channel Manager. I work with some of the finest people in the Motion Control l industry, and am honored to work for such an amazing company. The caliber of people that make up CGI is amazing. For this, I am truly grateful.

I have a passion for motivational speaking and helping others get through the grind, or challenges of life. I have volunteered to speak at our schools due to my experiences with bullying when I was young. Many times in my life I have had challenges and obstacles to get through. We all do. I think the behavior you exhibit during the trials of life speaks volumes. I believe if you try enough times you will get to where you are going. A thirst for the betterment of self and mankind is crucial to me.

My way of dealing with challenges or stress is likely no better than the way of anyone else. What I write comes from my experiences and my views on life. It comes from my heart. I have a passion for life and living.

I believe in the greater good, and doing the right thing. I believe in helping others, and not always putting yourself first. I believe in giving first, second, and third chances and I believe in the Underdog. Life is full of do-overs, and the important thing is that we learn and grow. How you do that, and how you handle challenges is up to you.
