Mia Stemp

Hello to all! I am Mia - a professional nurse from Antwerp, Belgium. As a newly-qualified staff nurse I was welcomed into the university hospital by a team of lovely colleagues. I am mostly working in shifts from 6am to 2pm and after that I spent my time in giving health advice and services to sex workers in Belgium. It's completely voluntary and I do this because I like to engage in interpersonal relations. I realize the importance of giving health services in our society to all it's members. Not everybody has the possibilities to pay for professional help and advice. I like the challenges of working as a volunteer and building a good relation with patients as well as with their families. There isn't a better feeling in the world than going home after a day at work feeling that you really made a difference.

Besides that I am frequently only blogging about health related issues. It might sounds strange but writing relaxes me in some way. I blog on free social platforms and on some friends' website as well. I hope you enjoy reading my articles. Do not hesitate to contact me in case you are having some issues or questions :)!
