Greetings!

My name is Micaela Turco and I am public relations student graduating from Durham College in Oshawa, Ont. August 2014.

Throughout my two and a half year program I have gained many skills in areas like Media Relations, Marketing, Electronic Media Production, Event Planning and Fund Development, Social Media and Web Principles, Strategic Communications Planning, Magazine Design, Copy Writing and Business Writing.

Obtaining and implementing these skills lead to a non-profit field placement at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Communications and Marketing department.

In addition, I will be working as a communications intern with Durham Regional Police Service for my corporate field placement this summer.

I hope to make the most of these great opportunities and I am excited for what the future holds!
