Micah Abshear
Designer and Web Developer
In total I have twelve years of overall Digital Multimedia experience as I've had an extensive work history. For my education I've completed a Digital Media undergraduate, which specialized in Interactive-Multimedia Design. I have experience in Website development including HTML5/CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, cross-browser / cross-platform compatibility, mobile friendly Website design, database work, project management, advanced WordPress development, wireframes, UI/UX, JIRA, and CSV. My most recent job involved teaching Adobe, Autodesk, and Maxon software applications as an instructional T.A. This greatly improved my video and graphics abilities. I have also been involved in the launch of 24 AAA worldwide video game / Mobile app. titles. I was contracted to work on Crayola Color Blaster, Color Alive 2.0 (Frozen/Avengers/Skylanders/Zombies/DC), American Girl Worlds, and Crayola Fashion Superstar. I performed work as a Multimedia Artist on at least two apps. In 2016 I assisted the Sr. Producer of a Mobile app. project for a Google Tango enabled phone. The Tango system was an augmented or artificial reality system much like in the game Pokemon. These concepts are still in production for the Pixel 2. We partnered directly with Google employees. The app. was a VR/AR video game and we collaborated with Google Inc. employees to finish it for Legacy Games and Crayola Inc. I completed a graphics related certificate of skill mastery in 2016 at Studio Arts. There I studied 3D animation, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, CGI, lighting, and film editing. My college career concluded in 2013 with an Associate of Arts equivalent in Interactive-Multimedia Design. My jobs in software even involved PDF publication(s) for major IT corporations for internal and mission critical teams. My first Web development freelance job was from 2007-2009. I was a professional print production based Graphic Designer for most of 2000-2008. My first Web related full-time job was for Disney.com in 2005. I had also briefly left the graphics career path to work temporarily for George Lucas in 2004 on my first AAA video game. I was providing complex data driven design from the beginning of my career. I was also a creative person in my educational career.
