Peregrine Teneo

I'm a 26 year old Marine Corps Veteran and graduate of Virginia Tech.

I spent 6 years with a Mortuary Affairs unit where I served a deployment in support of Operation of Iraqi Freedom. At the same time I was a student at Virginia Tech where I received two Bachelors of Sciences in Psychology and Human Development.

I have worked with teenagers both in low income populations and those with severe behavioral disabilities. I have worked with adults with severe developmental and intellectual disabilities. I have worked with homeless Veterans in an SSVF capacity. Professionally I've always been passionate about believing in those who are often overlooked and ignored. As a Veteran I believe that the urge to protect others is one of the greatest aspects cultivated in me.

I have musical aspirations as a songwriter and sound engineer and audio producer. Despite having a massive hearing loss that affects how I function everyday I am compelled to tell my stories through sound. I believe that art is an integral human element. Such this is that I have also developed other forms of expression such as: dance, oil painting, photography and videography.

I'm a man who is compelled to nurture the spontaneity of life. To encourage peace in myself and in others. To explore how we all can expierience our journeys in more meaningful ways. I like to keep my negativity at a realistic minimum and cultivate positivity as much as I can.

I imagine a world where our only desire is to better ourselves and our communities.
