Micah Kafka
Writer, Filmmaker, and Designer in Omaha, Nebraska
Micah Kafka spends much of his time jumping on rocks and can sometimes be found sitting on his roof contemplating the meaning of life and wishing he had a ladder, so it was easier to get down. Color and composition have fascinated him since childhood and Micah would like to discover a new primary color someday.
A born storyteller, Micah developed elaborate narratives that he would tell to his younger brother or anyone else that would sit still long enough. As a high school freshman in 1996, Micah began using Photoshop and dived into photography using a series of Wal-Mart disposable cameras. He developed a love of film and television despite having only a one-screen theater in his small hometown and extreme limits on TV watching in his house. His love of storytelling and art grew over his time at Pepperdine University and the ensuing years.
From writing to painting, Micah has a passion for all things creative. He's a natural adapter, feeling at home whether he's in the high plains of Kansas, Downtown Los Angeles, a hostel in London or Juarez, Mexico.
Always up for a challenge, Micah is continuously looking for new ways to apply his creativity.
