Michael Shoniker

Michael Shoniker is Director of Private Investments & Strategic Partnerships at Innovative Capital Solutions, an SEC-registered RIA. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, his focus is on private investment strategies in land infrastructure development and real assets across the Southeast. He leads client acquisition and business development for the firm, building relationships with independent RIAs, family offices, CPAs, attorneys, and commercial real estate professionals.

An entrepreneur who has built and sold multiple businesses, Michael has over 15 years of experience in financial services, business development, and sales. Previously, he worked in 401(k)/retirement services for the nation’s largest retirement plan provider, where he was a multi-year President’s Club qualifier consistently ranked in the top 10% nationally. He is a personal investor in real estate and private deals and a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a B.A. in Business Administration, Finance & Economics.

Beyond his work in financial services, Michael is the founder of True REST Float Spa, a therapeutic float therapy franchise with locations in Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC. True REST offers float therapy to help clients manage stress, chronic pain, and symptoms associated with PTSD and anxiety. Since launching, Michael has donated over 2,500 float sessions to military veterans to assist with PTSD recovery, over 500 sessions to healthcare workers and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic, and more than 300 sessions to local charities supporting youth programs, breast cancer awareness, autism organizations, and mental health initiatives. The total value of donated services exceeds $267,000.
