Michael Russell is a multimedia journalist and communications specialist who writes about transportation, urbanism and science. He has written for WHYY/Newsworks, NJ Spotlight, Cosmos magazine, among other publications. He was also a reporter on the Philadelphia Daily News’s features desk and a Communications Fellow at Transportation for America.

In his down time, Michael likes to copyedit obscure Wikipedia pages and read about human thought. He is also an amateur-ranked Go player with the American Go Association.

Michael is a graduate of Rutgers University–Camden and the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism. Currently, he lives in southern New Jersey.
