Michael has over 20 years of experience in building and growing technology companies. For 10 years, he led his own IT outsourcing and web development company in Ukraine, with 50 people team, offices in two cities, and a list of big international clients. He also built two start-ups and made two exits via M&A. Most recently, Michael serves as an independent business design and strategy consultant helping companies to build and monetize innovative products. As a consultant, for USAID he prepared a 60-page report on the Ukrainian IT sector value chain study and action plan that assisted USAID in providing $60M aid. Michael also supports the Ukrainian start-up ecosystem by advising and giving lectures.
Before closing his last start-up venture RocketStart Michael launched in Ukraine the representative office of the Polish media corporation ITI Group: prepared launches of a satellite network, a TV channel, and a network of movie theatres. He played a leading role in building the company's media assets. Before ITI Group Michael launched in Ukraine the successful international lifestyle magazine MAX (GQ competitor): raised a $500K investment, acquired the license, built a team, and within six months made it profitable.
Previously Michael was a consultant at Project Consulting Group. Under his leadership, three international businesses entered the Ukrainian market and brought $15M in investments. Before that, Michael was an account manager at McCann-Erickson where he managed ad campaigns for L’Oreal cosmetics and Boehringer Ingelheim pharmaceutics.
Michael is a graduate of the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Ukraine and holds an M.B.A. equivalent Specialist degree in International Economic Relations.
