What do I believe? "If the value is there, the decision is clear." That's the motto in my mind in any business-to-business (B2B) marketing endeavor. For the more empirical marketing folks out there, the "MARKETING SUCCESS EQUATION" (as I call it) is the guiding principle for success: MS=C2+Vme. MARKETING SUCCESS is the ability to CLEARLY COMMUNICATE the VALUE as it pertains to ME (your target audience). VALUE = (PERCEIVED BENEFIT - COST) x RISK. It's that simple. No matter how complicated the sales process or how long the buy cycle, if you demonstrate value, show the win-win scenario, you will convert. My passion is B2B marketing. I’m a strategic thinker who believes there’s a solution to everything. I'm just as comfortable rolling up my sleeves as I am presenting in the board room. I deliver the key "insight" that moves a campaign from good to great. I enable others to achieve their full potential. Great marketing is 70% psychology, 20% sociology, 5% anthropology and 5% finance and analytics. With that philosophy, I find the trigger point that causes a buying decision, or influences one. My interests? Loosing myself in a movie, listening to great music with my eyes shut, long intellectual debates until my brain hurts, eating hot fudge sundaes, staring hypnotically at a roaring fire, seeing the expressions of amazement as one of my kids experiences something for the first time, anticipating the release of a new book that I've wanted and then spending an entire day and night reading it cover to cover, coaching soccer and experiencing new things--life's too short! What am I most proud of? My kids think I'm the greatest dad in the world. My wife feels that I'm her best friend and loyal husband. I have many valued friendships. People who know me, trust and respect me. Honestly, what greater accomplishments could there be?
