Hello, and thanks for visiting my profile. Over my 30 year career writing software, designing technology, and building teams I have been privileged to work with more than 100 companies. Over the course of my career I've managed servers and databases, built software products from scratch, scaled solutions to millions of users, and taught thousands of software developers. Much of my career has focused around technology consulting and entrepreneurship and I'm excited to enter a new chapter focused on managing teams and products.

In addition to my technology management and entrepreneurial work, I am an international keynote speaker and have presented for events on every continent. I'm active in the software industry as a trainer, author, Microsoft MVP, and Google Developer Expert. Breaking down barriers by helping others get into the software industry and gain success inspires me to be even more engaged in the tech community. I also enjoy helping other developers make their software work for a wider and more diverse audience.

My published books include Programming Languages ABC++, Approachable Accessibility, and Architecting CSS. My technology focus over the past few years has been Serverless Architecture on Firebase and I've been pleased to serve on the Advisory Board of the Serverless Architecture Conference for the past few years.

I welcome connections and discussions about how we can make the technology industry more inclusive, ethical, and sustainable.
