Michael Greaney

Michael Patrick Greaney. Born in New Zealand in 1947. Lived in Wales since 1991.

Began his writing career in 1971 with a couple of poems in the New Zealand Farmer magazine.

Since then, has written mainly on astronomy and mathematics. Published in Sky & Telescope, Astronomy Now, The Quarterly Journal of the Webb Society and +plus magazine.

Author of The Little Book of Reversible Numbers and a contributing author to Observing and Measuring Visual Double Stars.

Editor of the Quarterly Journal of the Webb Society, 1996-1997.

Outside of writing: Studied acting under Edna Harris at the Actors Studio Theatre, Auckland, 1971-1975.

Founding member of the Hawkes Bay Astronomical Society, 1961. President of the Auckland Astronomical Society, 1984-1985.

Active in stage photography, 2011-2015. Provided photographic services for the Grove Park Theatre, 2011-2013 and covered the Focus Wales Music Festival, 2013-2015.

Currently active with the Bolingbroke Writers.
