I’m a writer whose background runs the gamut from PR and marketing communications to consumer and trade journalism. Over the years, my work has appeared in a variety of local and national venues. My current "day gig" is executive editor at SEMA.
Born in Pasadena and raised in the LA suburbs, I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies/Philosophy from St. John's Seminary, Camarillo. After two more years of graduate work, I moved to the City of Angels proper, building a career in publishing, editorial and business communications. Recently I made my “return” to historic Pasadena, where I also enjoy freelance writing, blogging, photography and other creative projects.
My Dateline>City of Angels blog represents my "online journal" written from and mostly about my native SoCal region. It reflects my fascination with the area's offbeat culture and heritage. Meanwhile, at www.mimlay.com you'll find more info about my freelancing.
