Michael Kirby

Clarinettist, Michael was born in Hereford, UK. He started his musical adventures as a chorister of the Gloucester Cathedral Choir and continued his studies at Chethams School of Music and at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London UK under the guidance of the late Jack Brymer OBE. Since 1987 he has occupied the post of Principal Clarinet of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and Professor of Clarinet in the Tenerife Music Conservatoire. As from 2011 Michael is the Principal Clarinet of the Macau Orchestra.

Michael is very active as a soloist and chamber music performer as well as creator of many musical projects ranging from Masterclasses to large scale orchestral events.
