A neuroscientist by training and now an educational consultant, I am passionate about learning and exploring ways to promote engagement in both formal and informal education.

I am particularly interested in educational technology and all the connectivist opportunities it affords.

I find the crowdsourcing of professional development through social media to be a fascinating new phenomena and consequently this lead me to co-found the Canadian EdChat movement #cdnedchat

Scientific literacy, public engagement in science and critical thinking skill development are my other educational passions.
