Michael Szukala

I'm Mike Szukala. I'm a husband, father, dog-owner, computer game player, avid reader, golfer and active in Democratic politics.

During the day, I am the Medicaid Inspector General for Erie County, New York. My staff and I audit Medicaid providers. Prior to this position, I was the Deputy Comptroller for Audit for Erie County. I held that position for just under seven years.

I am also the corporate treasurer of the Hanzlian Sausage Corporation. I'll bet you've seen our little red and white trucks at farmer's markets all over Western New York. There is also a store located on Genesee Street near the Cheektowaga / Buffalo line.

I am a Democratic Committeeman, a Democratic Zone Chairman and President of the Western New York Democrats for Progress. The club is an important liberal voice in Western New York.
