I am Michael Huang from Taiwan. I was a relationship manager in Cathay United Bank, the largest commercial bank in Taiwan, before going to McCombs. As a relationship manager, I helped my clients match their financial needs with our products.I've helped clients from Taiwan, China and Thailand improve their company’s financial strength through reducing the financial cost by 10%-20%. However, since capital markets in Taiwan are still constrained,which limits companies’ growth, I believe my future role as a company's chief financial officer will require leading my firm to the global stage and use international financial strategies to fuel its growth.

I believe in using creative and collaborative methods to achieve my goals. I developed this belief as adepartment coordinator in college while reorganizing a dismissed choir, as a badminton player winning the national championship twice, as a student representative in graduate school holding the largest alumni events and as a management associate in my bank creating user-friendly documents to shorten the document processing time by 50%.

I also love music. I play violin and sing in a chorus. My favorite composer is Leonard Bernstein and his West Side Story is my favorite piece of music.
