Cabin Crew in Ashford, United Kingdom

Creative, open-minded World traveller with a passion for experiencing new things and becoming incarnately part of new cultures. Lover of languages and travel photography, capturing adventures one snap at a time.

Received my Adv. Diploma in Travel & Tourism back in October and I’m currently working as a member of Cabin Crew for British Airways. Working in the skies has given me many opportunities to experience what this little world has to offer. From sampling French delicacies in the heart of Paris to Cheetah handling in Cape Town, my career is definitely one that I am proud of and excited to share with … well anyone who wants to hear about it.

I’m always looking for ways to increase my awareness and knowledge about destinations whether by glancing through magazines, venturing out in the dead of night in order to get my bearings (There’s no such thing as a body clock with my job) or simply by striking up a conversation on board with the passenger sitting in 22E who’s continuously asked for a decaffeinated coffee with one sugar, one sweetener, a ‘dollop’ of semi-skimmed milk which is then stirred three NOT FOUR times with a sterilized spoon that’s been blessed by 100 virgins – ok, slight exaggeration but not far off some of the things I have been asked for whilst in the skies.

Although I love my job I’m always open to exploring different fields within the industry. I suppose I should use the clichéd phrase of broadening my horizons but if the right opportunity came along I, without a doubt would be interested in doing a bit of ‘broadening’.

As well as travel, design and music have also always been strong passions of mine. In January of 2017 I hope to start studying for a distance learning Degree in Interior Design and looking forward to the future the idea of creating my own business is something that I would very much be interested in pursuing – What’s life without a challenge?

With anything related to my career I always aim to give my absolute best. Knowledge and experience can only make you wiser at the end of the day and with every challenge that comes I only hope to achieve and/or learn from my decisions.

P.S. If a reward structure within the workplace involves McVitie’s digestives then you’ll be sure to see a rapid improvement in my efforts. Chocolate covered of course!
