Michael Best

My name is Michael Best. I was born in Ft. Wright, KY and at an early age was very into sports. As you can see I am very passionate about outdoor activities, especially skiing. I started skiing as a junior in high school and have been progressing ever since. There's just something about it that has me hooked. I go everytime I am able but sometimes it can be hard living in the Midwest. The past two winters I took trips out to Salt Lake City, Utah. Last year I went to Snowbird and this past winter I visited Canyons ski resort. The background picture is from the peak of the Park City ski resort, the picture is not even comparable to the view in person.

For school, I am currently a junior at the University of Dayton studying Acccounting and Finance. I currently am the Director of Human Resources at Stuart's Landing where I am in charge of the employee morale, hiring, firing, disciplinary action, and scheduling. Stuart's Landing is apart of Flyer Enterprises, one of the largest and most successful student run businesses in the country. I try to make the expereinces of my employees as great as possible and to ensure the get the most out of their experiences while in FE. I am also the Vice President of Professional Development of the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. It is my duty to ensure every brother in my fraternity is given the tools and opportunities to grow and develop his or her professional skills. I have organized serveral events for our brothers including etiquette dinners, mock interviews, networking events, a professional trip to Cincinnati, and more. Both of these organizations have given me amazing experiences and skills that I would not have learned in the classroom.
