Michael Cox

A Houston entrepreneurial leader with a US Navy background, Michael Cox serves as the North American executive president of Bilfinger, an international industrial services provider. He and his team focus on the peak efficiency of assets in ways that decrease facility maintenance costs. Michael Cox previously held similar responsibilities with Mesa Line Services.

As the president and chief operating officer of Austin Industrial, Inc., Mr. Cox was successful in turning around a company that provides maintenance and construction services to the oil, gas, and energy sectors. His accomplishments included starting a “people first” approach to meet client needs. While at Austin Industrial, he also guided a “Tiger Team” that developed and monetized a proprietary technology system.

Mr. Cox was a diver with the US Navy from 1993 to 2007 and oversaw underwater construction teams. He was responsible for a $30-million operating budget and led a 15-person team in tactical operations and construction projects. Michael Cox holds a BS in business administration from Saint Leo University and an MS in strategic leadership from Michigan State University.
