Mike Goyette

I am currently a Junior Sport Management major in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I have had a passion for sports since I was a child and I could not find a way to shake it off. What else to do in that situtation than to decide that sports should be involved in my profession? I am currently most interested in an operations position or facility management position, but am open to any possiblities of broadening my knowledge within the sport industry.

I currently work for the University of Massachusetts, Amherst Campus Recreation as a Floor Supervisor and an Equipment Checkout assistant at the campus gym. My main duties as a Floor Supervisor are to enforce the Campus Recreation policies, oversee and help patrons of the facility upon request, and maintain facility cleanliness and operation. Some duties I have as an Equipment Checkout Employee include distributing facility equipment to patrons, maintaining the facility equipment for futher use, and assisting patrons upon request.
