Hello world! Allow me to introduce myself through some academic history, life goals, and random factoids.

I earned an associates from Rock Valley College between 2007-2009 while also being heavily involved within community life. I worked in the theatre (as an actor) and through Phi Theta Kappa (as Vice President of Leadership). I also resurrected the college's Gay/Straight Alliance before serving as president; all the while attending several conferences on academic development and queer organizing.

I attended Elmhurst College for three semesters between 2009-2011 (having been on academic leave during the fall of 2010, immediately following my little brothers unexpected death) and majored in Religious Studies.

I soon transferred to the University of Illinois/Chicago (from which I will be graduating in 2014-05) and have majored in political science with a sub-focus on the political theories of Karl Marx, Jean-Jacque Rousseau, and Carl Schmitt. I have also performed two internships with Partners for Sacred Places, and Organizing for Action.

These and various other experiences have pushed me into seeking a future within public interest, where I can continue to develop and apply my skills for use within the policy arena. To that end, I'm considering various Juris Doctorate programs, and am particularly attracted to CUNY. Long term, I eventually want to work for the United Nations, and/or create an NGO focusing on disability rights and advocacy in general, and autistic rights/political participation in the Global South in particular. Such goals still need refining, however.

In my spare and not-spare time I enjoy writing; participating in quietly pragmatic activism; reading any one of the five thousand ebooks I've acquired over the years; video games; and photography. I am an autistic bipolar queer; and an artistic genius rainbow man. I am also an introvert; minimalist; occasional urban monk; flâneur; religious syncretist; a speaker of Arabic and Russian; and have fifteen tattoos scattered across my body.
