Michael is the founder and president of August Road Entertainment, a Los Angeles based film, digital, and television production company.

He is an award-winning producer and director known for unique, compelling, and uncompromising stories. And equally as important to Michael, he has a personal reputation for quality, excellence, and integrity.

Rosen's recent feature documentary credits include: “Breach,” the story of Iceland’s illegal whale hunting; and “With the Wind,” about the dangerous sport of competitive ballooning. Other documentaries include the feature “When I Rise“ (PBS) about opera star Barbara Smith Conrad’s extraordinary story of overcoming social injustice; and the feature “Murder By Proxy” (The Documentary Channel) on how spree killings are affecting our society.

In 2007, Rosen was the director and producer of a television special “Beyond the Expedition: Running the Sahara” (National Geographic Channel), and he was a producer on the feature “Running the Sahara” (limited theatrical, Showtime), executive produced by Matt Damon. In digital, Rosen has been at the forefront of creating unique content for many years. Co-founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, Water.org is dedicated to solving the world water crisis. In 2013, he helped create a record breaking online campaign for Water.org, using comedy as a tool to highlight the serious issues of the water crisis.

Rosen launched and ran the first digital production division at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (home of the Emmy Awards). As Executive in Charge of Production, he was responsible for developing, producing, and delivering over 30 digital projects annually to help promote, brand, and market the Television Academy and Primetime Emmy Awards.
