Michael Vernon current works as a project manager and landman for Haggard Land Company in Oklahoma City. After graduating cum laude with a bachelor of arts in mass communication from Oklahoma City University, he proceeded to enroll in the university’s law school. As a law student, Michael Vernon maintained an 8.1 out of 12.0 grade point average, and graduated in the top 25% of his class.
Since 2012, Michael Vernon has served Haggard Land Company in his current capacity. As a project manager and attorney for the company, his responsibilities include the interpretation of legal documents related to the transfer of property, surface, mineral, and well ownership. He also handles communications with field operators and drafts drilling title options, due diligence, and comprehensive ownership reports.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Vernon follows the Boston Celtics and Connecticut Huskies basketball program. He also travels around the world and has visited Mexico, Puerto Rico, Holland, Spain, France, and England.
