I was born in the GDR which means that I spent my early childhood under a dictatorship. This eventuated in two passions: I love travelling and I deeply believe in human rights.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, my parents took me and my sisters to different places to discover the world behind the wall. I remember those trips to be the best times of my life. That's why I still love travelling today, I guess. And when I find the time, I even blog about my adventures - in German and sometimes in English.
After I spent a year-long adventure in Ganja, Azerbaijan as an EVS volunteers, I started working as an online editor for the human rights organisation "Society for Threatened Peoples" in Germany. I basically spend my day on Twitter, Facebooke or blogging away.
And by the way, I studied Mediaeval and Modern History as well as English Philology at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen, Germany. I finished both with an M.A.
