Michael Aamoth
Michael began teaching oboe at the age of fifteen. Over thenext forty five years he has taught thousands of oboists in his private studio,through master classes, and at universities. He has taught at the University of Minnesotaand University of Wisconsin along with Bethel, Macphail School of Music and St.Scholastica. His greatest passion has been teaching and believes that a solidfoundation of correct fundamentals established at an early age is paramount inallowing a student to excel. Michael has begun work on an oboe method book foryoung oboists. One of Michael’s greatest opportunities as a teacher was to workwith Nathan Hughes for the first three years of his training as an oboist.Nathan has gone on to a principal position as oboist with the MetropolitanOpera Orchestra and oboe professor at the Julliard School
