Michaela Currie was born in Mississauga, Ontario. She is a mature, positive and dedicated 15 year old. She is currently a swimming instructor at Oakville Swim Academy as well as an english tutor and babysitter. She is currently completing grade 10 at Oakville Trafalgar High School. Michaela Currie has volunteered at Oakville Swim Academy, St. Vincent Catholic School, various Relay for Life events, and the Cancer Society.

Michaela Currie is certified with Emergency First Aid with CPR-B, Emergency First Aid with CPR-C, Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, and Bronze Cross. She has a passion for swimming and teaching that she hopes to pursue through being a swim instructor for the Town of Oakville.
