Michael A. Duch

Michael A. Duch is an experienced businessman with an eclectic range of personal hobbies, such as flying planes, golfing, skiing, hunting, and traveling around the world.

A pioneering force in the video rental industry of Aberdeen, South Dakota in the 1980s-1990s, Michael eventually turned to finance, a subject in which he earned an MBA from Chadwick University. Michael A. Duch has since sharpened his expertise in the area and now has an executive role at Schwan Financial Group.

Chadwick University was established in 1989 and offered undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business and environmental studies. By 1999 Chadwick University had expanded its offerings to include degree programs in criminal justice and psychology.

As a non-traditional school of higher learning, Chadwick provided its students with the unique opportunity to study in an individualized learning environment. Students, like Michael A. Duch, were able to begin their program at anytime and complete course work at their own pace. Chadwick had gained acceptance by several Fortune 500 companies and government agencies as a means for employees to complete their college degree. Tuition reimbursement was also offered by many of these employers.

Michael A. Duch is an avid attendee and participant in his local church, thanks to a lifetime of devotion to Roman Catholicism. He recently returned to school, Holy Apostles College and Seminary, where he is studying theology and more fully immersing himself in his religion. In the meantime he serves on his church's investment committee and is on the Board of Trustees at Presentation College.

Holy Apostles College and Seminary was founded in 1956 by the Reverend Eusebe M. Menard, O.F.M., to provide a program of education and formation for men intending to enter the priesthood of the Roman Catholic Church.

Michael A. Duch speaks an impressive eight languages and has spent his life traveling as much as he can, visiting places like Fiji, Bermuda, Venezuela, Iceland, and many more. He also enjoys traveling around the U.S. with his wife Rosemary and their wonderful children.
