Michael Amin is the CEO and founder of the Los Angeles-based company, Primex World Inc. Originally from Iran, Michael moved to the United States to pursue his university studies. First studying business administration at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, Michael then transferred to Cal State Northridge, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.

An experienced entrepreneur and businessman, Michael Amin’s professional career has enjoyed a number of chapters. Upon graduating from Cal State Northridge, Michael assisted in the management of a 23-unit Los Angeles apartment complex. Following this, in 1981, Michael, along with his family, founded QuickPix one hour photo chain.

Over the next ten years, Michael would begin several companies, including Primex Talking Yellow Pages, a referral service for attorneys, doctors and other professionals, and Top Attorneys Directory. Michael would also begin a product development and marketing company that invented a new product called “Step Up”. In 1990, Michael Amin founded Primex World Inc. in order to license software and industry knowledge related to referral services and co-op advertising programs. Primex World Inc. would eventually grow into an asset management company, overseeing a diverse array of assets, including several pistachio and almond orchards, luxury home projects, and other real estate and equity assets.

Michael continues to enjoy guiding his team at Primex World Inc.

In addition to his professional experience, Michael is very active philanthropically and considers giving back to the community a cornerstone to his life philosophy and success as a businessman.

Michael was on the Board of Directors for the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) from 2008 to 2010, an organization that he continues to support.

Michael also founded Maximum Difference Foundation (MDF) in 2004, a non-profit organization that supports various charitable efforts. Maximum Difference Foundation is especially focused on motivating parents to educate themselves in the art and science of good parenting.

Michael Amin’s Maximum Difference Foundation also helps ten to twenty non-profit organizations every year, a list that includes the Jewish Voice for Peace, Doctors Without Borders and Human Rights Watch, among other organizations.
