Along the Road with Michael Bowles
Husband, Father, and Thinker in somewhere south of Seattle
Hello, Michael here. I’ve been married to my wife, Lauren, for 7 years. We have two children, our son, Cove, and our daughter, Cambria, who are the center of our universe. We are recent California transplants living in the lush Pacific Northwest.
Prior to moving, I served as a pastor in Los Angeles for seven years in various capacities. Some of the capacities have ranged from pioneering new faith communities to pastoring youth and young adults.
I currently work for a gospel-centered transitional housing provider called ABSOLUTE Ministries. Also, I am very involved in our local church, Stone Church Auburn, serving on the worship team (drums) and teaching team.
I am a fellow thinker at Western Seminary in Portland. I have a blog I have titled Along the Road because though you may learn a thing or two while you’re here, I don’t assume the posture of someone who has arrived in their thinking nor who has the answers to all of your questions. Instead, I assume the posture of a fellow traveler Along the Road.
In short, this is the home to all of my work - theological reflections, biblical insights, and cultural commentary. Along the Road, I hope to offer you a perspective of a God who is FOR humans and our precious natural world.
