Michael Capiraso is a strategy and marketing executive focused on bringing high-profile, traditional brands to new audiences. Michael has led several organizations, overseeing all areas with a sharp focus on organization development, marketing, communications, and product development for blue-chip brands including New York Road Runners, National Football League, Major League Baseball, Cole Haan, and Calvin Klein.
Mr. Capiraso was also the founder and CEO of his own consulting firm, Michael Capiraso Consulting, advising businesses on strategic direction, growth opportunities, new revenues initiatives, e-commerce/digital, marketing, branding, communications, and operations, across industries that include lifestyle, retail, fashion, media, sports, and entertainment.
As VP Marketing & Executive Creative Director at the NFL, Michael brought new energy to the NFL’s brand and market segments including youth and Hispanic. Michael also was involved in the redesign of NFLshop and NFL.com. Overseeing $200M in media assets, he led a marketing integration across SBUs and a partner roster including Coors, Visa, FedEx, Sprint, Pepsi, and Reebok. He created the Super Bowl XL “Road to Forty” platform, which led to $300 million in activation.
Michael has an MBA and studied Film at New York University, and has recently completed his 28th consecutive NYC Marathon.
