Michael Clarkson
Leeds, England
Born & raised in a small town in Lancashire; Darwen. Attended & excelled at Darwen Vale High School as Head Boy, achieving 12 GCSES (3 A*, 6 A, 3 B) before studying A-Level Law, Sport & Biology at Runshaw College. Here I realised I had a complementary blend of sporting talent & academic distinction.
This was further evident when I studied Sports & Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan University & in 2013, graduated with First Class Honours.
Now 22 years old, I'm currently living my dream as the Sport Scientist at sports technology & performance analysis company, Prozone. My role is to provide insights into physical performance of football and rugby, and to assist clients in finding those marginal gains.
I hope the future holds the opportunity to study for a PhD & become more embedded within high performance cultures of elite sports team. My ultimate aim is to see as much of the world as possible whilst enhancing human sport performance.
Down-time usually involves opening the bowling attack for East Leeds Cricket Club, consuming Brooklyn Beer & hoping for Blackburn Rovers to achieve promotion.
