Hi! My name is Michael and I am an English teacher from Long Beach, California. My interests in education range from innovations in technology to teaching the classics. I am always looking for new ways to connect with my students!

I graduated from CSULB with a single subject teaching credential in English Education and received my BA in Film and Electronic Media.

I teach 8th grade English Language Arts and Media at Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School in Santa Ana Unified School District. I have also taught the Astros at Carr Intermediate School and completed my student teaching at FVHS in Fountain Valley.

I am a husband, a dad, a reader, and a writer. I love to meet new people, enjoy great food, experience classic movies, listen to live music, travel, camp, and everything NBA basketball. I am an avid reader (across all medias!) and love to play baseball and soccer with my family.
