Michael Dadson earned his Ph.D. in counselling psychology from the University of British Columbia in 2013, where he specialized in PTSD recovery. Dr. Michael Dadson has an extensive history treating first responders such as police, military, firemen, veterans and other first responders.

Dr. Dadson treats trauma/PTSD, father relationships, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and provides individual, family and couples counselling.

Dr. Michael Dadson was a named International Society of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD)fellow in 2017. Dr. Dadson served as the ISSTD's Executive Director from 2016-2018. Dr, Dadson was an active member of the Society delivering workshops, symposiums, and papers at the Society’s annual conferences.

Several of Dr. Michael Dadson's works have been published on the treatment and effects of trauma. .

Dr. Dadson served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia, and as an advisor to the Centre for Group Counselling and Trauma from 2014 -2018.

Dr. Dadson has a deep belief in the human capacity to transform, find real-life resolutions to suffering, injuries and depression in their quest for growth.

Research has shown that human growth happens best when individuals have access to authentic understanding, support, respect, and skilled therapeutic interventions.
