Michael-Dann Joseph

Michael-Dann Joseph is an ambitious, dynamic, forward-thinking and dedicated music executive. Despite his tender years Michael has been active within the music industry for 6 years. Michael's industry career has been wide-ranging.

Michael's knowledge of what works in the industry has led to him consulting with a plethora of artists and key industry figures. Chris Parles, who has been part of Sony BMG and Mercury Records (Universal Music Group), was so impressed with Michael's skills that he arranged meetings with Universal Music Group and Peer Music, which led to Michael securing projects with both companies. Michael spent a year working with Roo Piggott and his team at Sunshine HQ and VT Music Publishing.

Jamaican artist, Nicky B - who has worked with Sean Paul, Ollie Hayes of Sheffield-based radio station Hallam FM – with a reach of 400,000 listeners (source RAJAR Q2 2012) and up-and-coming UK singer/songwriter Jason Quainoo have all received consultancy advice from Michael. Jason Quainoo later requested Michael's advice in helping him to reach a wider audience, so Michael is currently working on developing the Rotherham-based singer's brand as a business.AR Q2 2012

In 2012 Michael joined forces with Tiffany Shaw and the pair co-founded Future Writers Music Group. While others would see co-founding their own company as a success, Michael is not one to rest on his laurels, and won't rest until his vision to unearth some exciting and fresh talent to take the music industry by storm is met.

One of Michael's first moves at Future Writers Music Group was to sign Los Angeles-based R&B/Pop artist Keithian to the label and subsequently become the singer's manager. Michael discovered the former Virgin Records artist after Keithian had sent him his demo. Michael was instantly impressed with the Los Angeles-based artist, whose outstanding songwriting ability and creativity led Michael to label him as "the male Rihanna." Michael quickly set about restoring the singer's career by playing an active role in his latest EP project, 'Bayou Boy', from the creative aspect to the music and right down to Keithian's image.

The singer's career had stalled until Michael signed him up after an ill-fated distribution deal with Interscope Distribution, which seen his single not receive the support it merited due to a poor marketing campaign.
