Throughout a career spanning more than three decades, Michael Emmons of Kansas City has helped a number of businesses achieve significant growth. As the owner of Ionics in Kansas City, Michael Emmons hired, trained, and managed a sales team responsible for $4 million in sales in both 1997 and 1998. Additionally, he is the former owner of Ecowater of Coralville, a water-conditioning company that ranks second in the industry. Under his leadership, the franchise was the largest Ecowater dealer in 1993.
Self-employed since 2000, Mr. Emmons helped build an alarm business from the ground up, achieving $70 million in sales and a top-ten ranking out of more than 350 dealerships. During this period, he also managed the opening of a $2 million fitness center.
After attending John F Kennedy High School, he studied at Kirkwood Community College and the University of Iowa. Outside his professional responsibilities, he enjoys lifting weights, playing chess, and spending time with his family.
