Michael Feinberg, DDS
In addition to treating patients, Orthodontist Dr. Michael Feinberg is a past President of the Arizona State Orthodontic Association. He has also served as Secretary-Treasurer and Vice-President of the organization. To remain current with the latest developments in his field, Dr. Feinberg also maintains affiliation with a number of other organizations. These include the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. Additionally, Dr. Michael Feinberg holds distinction as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In order to contribute continually to the improvement of his field, Dr. Feinberg further dedicates his time and efforts to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Fraternity, the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the Scottsdale-Paradise Valley Study Club, and the Arizona Orthodontic Study Group. During his dental education, Dr. Michael Feinberg focused heavily on research in the areas of orthodontic and maxillofacial abnormalities. During this period, several of his works received publication in The Journal of Dental Research. His contributions include “Relationship between Retinoic Acid and Sonic Hedgehog in Craniofacial Morphogenesis,” “Cleft Lip/Palate is Associated with Perturbations in SHH Signaling,” and “Conservation of Molecular Signals Affecting Brain and Facial Morphogenesis.” In response to his skill and effort, Dr. Feinberg has received a number of recognitions, including 1st place in the Basic Science Category in the DENTSPLY Student Table Clinic Competition at the American Dental Association Annual Session. He also earned the Bloc Travel Grant and the Bernard G. Sarnat International Craniofacial Biology Award at the IADR (International Association of Dental Research) General Session and Exhibition. Prior to beginning his career, Dr. Michael Feinberg earned his BA at the University of California, Berkeley, and his MS, DDS, and Certificate of Orthodontics at the University of California, San Francisco.
