Architecture is everywhere. It competes for our attention, supplying both order and structure. We follow along with its conventions and don’t readily take notice of its subtle, passive-aggressive influence. Yet the built environment pervades our homes, our schools, our workplaces, and our dreamscapes. Motivated by the geometric and textural vibrancy of the environment, my work reinterprets these details. Explore my interpretation of the world through architecture, photography and graphic design.

Michael Finley is an aspiring architect and photographer base in New York City. His education in architecture, a bachelor of Architecture and a Master’s of Science in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, has influenced his artistic sensibilities and often informs his art. Michael has been exposed to many art and architecture movements and is influenced by Cubism, De Stjil, and Constructivism. He is currently working toward his licensure and enjoys sharing through his photographic artwork how he views the world.
